Inclement Weather Conditions

If a thunderstorm approaches the pitch, the umpires must stop play.

Play must be stopped when the time between seeing lightning and hearing thunder is 10 seconds or less.  When play has stopped, umpires and players should leave the field.  Shelter must be taken inside a building. Mobile telephones, two-way radios or similar communications devices should not be used in the open.
