Development Projects Manager Appointed

The International Hockey Federation has added even more resources in realising its development initiatives with the recent hiring of a part-time (50%) Development Projects Manager. In her new role, Gabrielle van Doorn will be responsible for providing technical support for the activities of the Development and Coaching Committee and managing specific technical/development projects. The 32-year-old Dutch native will also act as a central resource and point of contact for FIH development activities and serve as liaison for National Associations and Continental Federations.

Ms. van Doorn has broad international experience in hockey development, coaching, promotion and event management, including three years as the Coaching and Development Project Co-ordinator for the Royal Dutch Hockey Association (KNHB). Since 1995, she has been Project & Event Manager for the KNHB's Development & Promotion Department, and she continues to hold that position on a part-time basis.

In the next issue of International Hockey News, we will highlight Gabrielle's activities in her first months on the job, including Development visits to Greece and the Ukraine.
