FIH Coaching Course to be held during 24th Men’s Champions Trophy 23 May 2002 14:17
The International Hockey Federation (FIH) and Deutscher Hockey Bund (DHB) will hold a Special International Coaching Course, which will take place during the 24th Men's Champions Trophy Tournament 2002 from Saturday August 31st until Saturday September 7th 2002 in Cologne, Germany.
This course provides the rare opportunity to study both development coaching and high performance coaching at the same occasion. The FIH Top Master Coaches Ruediger Haenel, who will also act as Course Director, and Terry Walsh, Coach of the bronze-winning Australian Men's team at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games will conduct this Course. Both the conductors have impressive experience of international coaching and conducting Coaching Courses at top level around the world. Other Master Coaches will also be invited to participate in forum discussions.
Candidates for participation in this FIH Special Coaching Course must be knowledgeable and experienced coaches in Development and/or High Performance Coaching and have good understanding of English.
The course will be held in accordance with the FIH Guidelines for the Organisation of Coaching Courses and the Certification of Coaches.
