South Africa will host a women’s four nation tournament in Durban from 13-18 February against Ireland, Scotland and Azerbaijan.

For the home team and Scotland, the 2006 Spar Cup will be one of the final chances to fine tune their play before the start of the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

The three visiting nations will also be looking to get vital match practice against one another in the lead-up to the Samsung Hockey World Cup Qualifier in Rome from 25 April to 6 May. Azerbaijan and Ireland have been drawn to play in the same group in Rome.

South Africa have already qualified for the Samsung Hockey World Cup in Madrid courtesy of the runaway victory at the Africa Cup of Nations late last year.
