Zakauddin replaces Islah as Pakistan national team’s coach

The President of the Pakistan Hockey Federation Mir Zafarullah Jamali has appointed former Olympian Khwaja Zakauddin as Manager/Chief Coach of Pakistan Hockey team with immediate effect replacing former Olympian Islahuddin Siddiqui.

The President of the PHF, in turn, has appointed Islahuddin Siddiqui as Chairman National Selection Committee while former Olympian Syed Mudassar Asghar has been inducted as member of the National Selection Committee with immediate effect against a vacancy created due to the resignation of former Olympian Abdul Rasheed Junior.

Zakauddin will start making intensive and purposeful planning for national team’s preparations for the forthcoming Beijing Olympics.
