EHL Finals in Rotterdam
02 Apr 2008 12:58

Euro Hockey League is happy to announce that the venue for the EHL Finals is Hockey Club Rotterdam.

Founded in 1925, H.C. Rotterdam has been the biggest hockey club in the Netherlands for the past ten years with currently over 2.450 members and an impressive venue that includes 3 water-based as well as 4 sand-filled full-size hockey fields. The club moved to its current home base in the summer of 2001, just before hosting the men's Champions Trophy in November of that year, and will again provide the venue to this year's men's Champions Trophy in June, with a women's four nations tournament during the same week.

H.C. Rotterdam is the home club of some famous former and current internationals, most notably two time WorldHockey Player of the Year Stephan Veen, and counts current Dutch internationals Fatima Moreira de Melo and Jeroen Hertzberger amongst their ranks - as well as men and women internationals from Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Wales, Japan, and the Netherlands Antilles.
