BDO Junior World Cup ready to start

Argentina and Germany will have the honor to open the BDO Junior World Cup women in Boston, USA on Monday when the best 16 junior teams in the world will start their campaign for the World Title.

All 16 teams will come in action on the opening day. All action from Boston can be followed ‘live’ through the special micro site of the FIH. Please click here for direct access to the BDO Junior World Cup website.

Over the last 20 years there have been 6 junior world cups. Korea has won the last 2 of them, 4-3 over Argentina in Penalty Strokes (2005) and 1-0 over Germany (2005). It is one of the four top teams along with Argentina, Australia and Germany in reaching the podium. Australia who has not won the title yet is one of the top contenders with 6 players who are current in the senior team. Netherlands are one of the key hockey nations even though they have only won one title (1997) and a third-place (2005).
