Hong Kong men face tough task in Singapore event
22 Aug 2005 10:20

Hong Kong Hockey Association: A full strength Hong Kong men’s team travel to Singapore tomorrow (Tuesday) for the MIA International Hockey Cup.

It will be the first FIH sanctioned event that new coach Kevin Knapp has taken a Hong Kong side away for.

Three players, Arif Ali (KCC), Akbar Ali (Shaheen) and Gurvinder Dillon (HKFC) will join the squad directly in Singapore, as they are currently playing in Malaysian National Hockey League.

The tournament features full strength squads from Korea (Asian shampions) and a resurgent Malaysian team under respected Wallace Tan.

Singapore completes the 4 Nation event and they are no easy-beats given some good recent form in the Macau International.
