The International Hockey Federation (FIH) announces that the nomination of Peter Cohen, Australia as candidate for the FIH Presidential Election has been withdrawn.

The election for the FIH President will take place on the occasion of the FIH Congress in Los Angeles, USA on Saturday 29 November 2008. Following this withdrawal, two candidates for the position of FIH President are left: current FIH President and IOC Member Els van Breda Vriesman, Netherlands and FIH Executive Board Member and President of the European Hockey Federation (EHF) Leandro Negre, Spain.
