With less than four weeks to go before the Presidential Election, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) opened a special webpage featuring the two candidates. On 29 November 2008 current FIH President and IOC Member Els van Breda Vriesman (NED) and FIH Executive Board Member and European Hockey Federation (EHF) President Leandro Negre (ESP) will be the candidates for FIH President.
