Bronze for Junior Hockey Award Scheme!

The 1st Junior Hockey Award Scheme presented by Promotion & Development (P&D) of the Hong Kong Hockey Association (HKHA) which started in January, attracted 21 participants. The ‘Scheme’ started from Bronze, then Silver and final will be Gold. The Bronze medals which started in early January include dribbling, passing, hitting, pushing, fitness and the participants need to attend a practical test which a certificate will award if they has pass.
It’s glad to see all of the participants passed the test and were promoted to Silver Medal Course. Of course, a certificate was awarded for their Bronze Medal Course. The course outline was drafted by Mark Bailey, Hong Kong National Coach and Arif Ali was the instructor of the whole course.
Among the twenty-one participants, three were already selected to play for Under 16 Boys team in the 4th Division of the Men’s Winter League. Mr. Tony Cheung (Chairman of P&D) presented the Bronze Medal Certificate to the participants and he is looking forward to see more new hockey players in the coming future. Tony also stated that there will be more school visits in the coming months to introduce hockey as part of their Physical Education sports.
