Parents versus children in Croatia
3 June 2004
First part of event was mini hockey. Children played against their parents (6 vs. 6). The umpires were also children, that had never whistled before.
Second part was grading individual hockey skills. First children were doing their tricks and the parents were grading. Then the parents were showing how skillful they are with the sticks and children were grading them.
The aim was to get the children's parents active in hockey, to experience the skill needed for field hockey.
Results of the event: children and parents were getting closer through playing hockey together and hockey spirit. The follow-up of the event is that we are planning further events with parents participation and expect from them to be more active in hockey life.
