PAHF: The Barbados Hockey Federation will host the 2005 Olympic Solidarity Development and High Performance Coaching Course between 6-11 November.
The course will cover both development and high performance aspects of the game to further develop our National Players and National Coaches. The Course will be limited to the English speaking Caribbean territories and Bermuda.
Barbados Hockey Federation through the Barbados Olympic Association and the Olympic Solidarity will organize the Course.
The course will be conducted by FIH Master Coach Rodolfo Mendoza from Argentina (former World Cup and Olympic coach of the Argentinean women’s team). Mendoza is also a gold and silver World Cup medal-winning coach of junior and Senior Argentinean Women’s teams respectively.
Applicants must have sufficient knowledge and experience in coaching to discuss, contribute and participate actively during the Course. Preferable, applicants should have a preliminary level of coaching certification in their own country or Continent.
The course program will include:
- Welcome and introductory meeting
- Lectures and practical coaching sessions, discussions, special presentations and contributions from participants
- Match analysis from Athens 2004 and Men’s Junior World Cup 2005
- Official closing and presentation of certificates of participation
All participants will receive the complete course program after their final registration, and after the course a compilation and/or summary of every session.
Registration will be limited to the English speaking Caribbean territories and Bermuda while accommodation will be borne by the organizing committee.
Candidates are responsible for their dinner costs and transportation costs to and from the airport and hotel. Registration costs of US$160 per person will cover lunches, course material, and return costs to and from the hockey facility each day.
