Egypt downed the USA men's team 3-1 to keep the USA winless at the China Four Nation Tournament in Lanzhou City.

Shawn Hindy (Westlake Village, Calif.) scored the USA's only goal in the second half as the USA dropped to 0-3 at the tournament.

The two teams will meet again in a rematch for 3rd and 4th place at the tournament while Japan and host China will play for the tournament championship. China (1-0-2) and Japan (1-0-2) played to a 1-1 draw in the final game of round-robin play.

The world's No. 15-ranked team, Egypt has won three-straight tournament games over the USA including a pair of 2-1 losses at the 2001 World Cup Qualifying Tournament. The USA is currently ranked 27th in the international standings.
