The Canadian national women’s team defeated Ireland 2-1 in Dublin. It was the final of a three-match official test series between the two sides. Both teams won one match, while one clash ended in a draw.

Abigail Raye scored the game-winner in what was her first international goal put the Canadians up 2-1 with twelve minutes remaining in the game. Cailie O’Hara scored the other Canadian goal shortly after Ireland’s Skipper McKean opened the game’s scoring in the 27th minute.

Team Canada finishes the Irish test series with one win, one loss, and one draw. Canada also earned another draw and loss against the Irish reserve team earlier in the week.

Canada, ranked 20th in the world, was in Dublin preparing for the upcoming Pan Am Cup, which is also the continental World Cup Qualifier (1–14 February in Bermuda). Ireland is ranked 15th in the world.
