18 Jun 2007 13:24

AtaHolding Champions Challenge bronze medalist England made a major move forward on the FIH Women’s World Rankings after the tournament in Baku, Azerbaijan. The English team entered the Top Ten and is now ranked nine.

There were no major changes at the top of the World Rankings. World Champion Netherlands remains the leader, followed by Argentina and Australia. Germany is ranked fourth, while AtaHolding Champion Challenge winner China remains fifth. Korea moved up nicely by climbing from place ten to the eight position.

Host Azerbaijan made a great move and improved its ranking from the 18th to the 15th position.
