View the Match Schedule – Samsung Hockey World Cup

The International Hockey Federation has released the match schedules for the men’s and women’s World Cups to be contested later this year. 

The men’s BDO Hockey World Cup will be played from 6-17 September in Monchengladbach, Germany, with the home team to get the tournament underway with a clash against India on the opening day. In other first day matches, Argentina play New Zealand and Korea battle the Netherlands. 

The women’s Samsung Hockey World Cup is schedule for Madrid, Spain, from 27 September until 8 October. World number one the Netherlands enter the tournament as favourites ahead of defending champion Argentina, two-time World Cup winner Australia and Olympic champion Germany. 

Both tournaments contain 12 teams split into two pools of six. In each pool, all teams will play against each other before the classification matches. At the end of the round robin phase, the top two teams from each pool will progress to the semi finals.
