Tournament favorites South Africa and Egypt are still going strong at the Men’s African Olympic Qualifier here in Nairobi, Kenya. South Africa defeated Uganda 20-0, while Egypt was stronger than Nigeria (5-0). In other Monday action, host Kenya won its match against Ghana 2-0.
Three teams are still undefeated after day three of competition. Besides South Africa and Egypt, Kenya also won all its matches so far.
There were no matches scheduled in the Women’s African Olympic Qualifier on Monday. Play in the women’s tournament resumes on Tuesday, a rest day for the men’s teams.
