BDO Atrio host of first BDO Champions Challenge Press Conference
05 Mar 2007 08:35

BDO Atrio hosted the first Belgian national press conference regarding the BDO Hockey Champions Challenge, men 2007 in their offices in Antwerp, Belgium.

Billed as Belgium’s first major international hockey tournament, the BDO Champions Challenge forms part of BDO’s global sponsorship agreement with the FIH and will take place from 23 June until 1 July. The tournament is a joint organization by the Royal Belgian Hockey Association (ARBH / KBHB) and Braxgata, the club in Antwerp-Boom at whose premises the tournament will take place.

The BDO Champions Challenge features teams ranked 7th – 12th in the world, namely: Argentina, Belgium, England, India, Japan and New Zealand.

Last week’s Press Conference included presentations from Jean-Claude Le Clef, president of the Steering Committee, Eric Gysels and Eric Spliet of the Braxgata Hockey Club and Marc Coudron, former international player and President of the ARHB. Patrik van Cauter, managing partner of the Belgian firm, spoke about BDO Atrio, including how the firm’s value system is so well suited to the world of hockey, while Paul van Elten from the Global Coordination Office in Brussels expanded upon the reasons for the international sponsorship.

BDO Atrio is a sponsor of the ARBH in their own right, and both they and BDO International are supporting the tournament in terms of brand visibility and hospitality opportunities.
