2007 Pan American Special Coaching Course
04 Oct 2007 07:22

The Pan American Hockey Federation (PAHF) in conjunction with the Trinidad & Tobago Hockey Board will run the 2007 PAHF Special Coaching Course during the PAHF Caribbean Hockey Cup, 7-11 November 2007 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

This Course will cover both development coaching information and the high performance aspect of the game (technical and tactical concepts of the game to develop young players from the basic understandings of the game to high performance). The course is not for beginning coaches.

Qualified FIH Coaches will be in charge to conduct this Course. FIH Coach Bill Gaudette from USA, Ph.D and expert in goalkeeping and coaching both Indoor and Outdoor, and FIH Master Coach Rodolfo Mendoza from Argentina, World Cup and Olympic Coach. FIH Coach David Francois from Trinidad and Tobago, former T&T Mean’s Head Coach, will be also a presenter. They have experience of participating and conducting coaching courses at different levels.

The Course will be run simultaneously with the PAHF Caribbean Hockey Cup, both Men’s and Women’s.

Application deadline: 15 October 2007

Registration will be limited in an attempt to make the experience meaningful to all participants and to allow as many countries as possible to participate. An early application will be more likely for acceptance. Participants must have a letter to verify support from their National Association/Federation submitted with their application. As part of the coursework, participants will attend some matches of the PAHF Caribbean Hockey Cup (Men's & Women's) taking place in Port of Spain at the same time.

Costs: PAHF WILL NOT CHARGE FEES for the attendance of this Special Coaching Course, unique in 2007. Participants must pay for their expenses for: accommodation, meals and transport from and to stadium. PAHF has made special arrangements for Course participants for U$S 500.-, the pack includes:

Accommodation in double room, breakfast, and meals from Monday 5 November 2007 until Sunday 11 November 2007. Transport hotel to Stadium and return to Hotel during Course. Free access to stadium to observe the Caribbean Cup.
