PALMSTAT: COLLECTING STATISTICS
PalmStat is a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) program designed to make collecting statistics at sporting events simple and meaningful.
Description: PalmStat is comprised of two pieces of software. The first is a hand-held statistics application for the Palm Pilot PDA which is used to collect a wide range of game play events and statistics. The second is a PC-based program which is used to analyse, store, print and tabulate the statistics in more detail.
Purpose: PalmStat has been designed to provide coaches and athletes with a simple method of analysing game play events, including on field positions, directions of movement and the occurrence of specific sequences of events.
Target group: Coaches.
