Benedikt PULTAR

Date of birth: 20.3.1986

Area of leadership involvement:

Leader of a school project for the ascertainment of the social standards of the hockey population of Austria. Target is to find sponsors and earn money for the NHA

Success(es):

He and his team finished the script in march 2003 with the help of the secretary of the NHA. Now they are looking for sponsors and earn money for the NHA

Special leadership qualities:

He is very good in communication and organisation. He is good in school.

Value of young leaders’ work for hockey promotion or for the improvement of quality of hockey:

It´s the first time in Austria, we have such a script (including history of hockey, social standards of the Austrian hockey population comparing with the rest of the people, and the possibilities and prices for sponsoring hockey).

 

Christian CHINI

Date of birth: 1.1.1983

Area of leadership involvement:

He created a hockey project in a ground school. He is the leader of a team of 8 players for this project. This school project “Hockey for Kids” des PostSV Wien on ground school “Schulbrüder Währing” is very successful. He create a own internet homepage and wrote articles for the project.

Success(es):

100 children came to the hockey lessons at the school. Minimal 20 will become new hockey players. The school project won the “under 10” school championship this year

Special leadership qualities:

Super in communication especially to young people no smoking, drinking alcohol, drugs and a good hockey player.

Value of young leaders’ work for hockey promotion or for the improvement of quality of hockey:

Many new pupils in different ground schools from 7 to 10 years learn hockey. In the ground school “Schulbrüder Währing” all are happy with hockey (also the director). The Club Post SV will get new players.

 

Manfred WALZER

Date of birth: 30.5.1987

Area of leadership involvement: 

Captain of the school team “under 16”. Vice-president of the hockey section in a school club. Member of the project “make your own club”. Coach of the under 14 team.

Success(es):

Manfred and his friends lost their hockey trainer and educator last autumn and they are successful with the hockey section in their own responsibility. They obtained the champion in the under 16 school championship and the second place in the under 18 schools championship. They enlisted 10 new members for the section in this time.

Special leadership qualities:

Very good in school. Good in communication, talent in organisation. No smoking, drinking alcohol, drugs.

Value of young leaders’ work for hockey promotion or for the improvement of quality of hockey:

Manfred brings hockey to the younger pupils and these players to our hockey. He helps to lead the hockey club “FZK HTL Mödling” at the school in an important position. He supports the project HOCKEY 2005

Markus SCHICKLGRUBER

Date of birth: 23.5.84

Area of leadership involvement:

Training and coaching of the under 14 team ! Assistant coach in three one-week trainingscamps. Umpiring helps in different schoolactivities.

Success(es):

Under 14 team won the first matches, the children like to play hockey. Player of the first team of traun – champion of the 2nd division. Player of the selection team of the federal state of upper Austria.

Special leadership qualities:

Good and exemplary sportsman no smoking, drinking and drugs. Takes initiative, good in communication especially to young people.

Value of young leaders’ work for hockey promotion or for the improvement of quality of hockey:

Markus is a good fellow, intelligent and his training and coaching is very effective. He helps where its necessary without earning money. He helps by the project HOCKEY 2005 in upper Austria.

Michael ROTHENEDER

Date of birth: 27.5.1986

Area of leadership involvement: 

Captain of the school team training and coaching for the U/14, U/16 and U/18. Made articles for the school homepage and school CD.

Success(es):

Winner of the Austrian School Hockey Championship U/18. 2nd of the Austrian School Hockey Championship U/16 last year. 4th of the Austrian School Hockey Championship U/16 as coach. 3 times best scorer of the tournament.

Special leadership qualities:

Great sports man, super in communication. Opinion leader in different sports (hockey, ice hockey, golf)        participant of the hockey coaching course. No smoking, drinking alcohol, drugs

Value of young leaders’ work for hockey promotion or for the improvement of quality of hockey:

Michael brings hockey to the ice hockey players and these players to our hockey. He helps to found the hockey group at the school. He will help to create a new club and supports the project HOCKEY 2005. His parents are supporting all activities of their son.

Oliver TARNOCZI

Date of birth: 17.4.1985

Area of leadership involvement:

Leader of a school project for the organisation of the European Junior Indoor Championship in January 2004 in Austria. He helped by a hockey project in a ground school

Success(es):

He and his team of 3 persons had make a concept until march 2003 for the main parts of organisation and they work with the secretary of the NHA to realize all the ideas! The school project “Hockey for Kids” des PostSV Wien on ground school “Schulbrüder Währing” is very successful.

Special leadership qualities:

He is able and willing to help by every hockey action, good in communication. Talent in organisation. No smoking, drinking alcohol, drugs.

Value of young leaders’ work for hockey promotion or for the improvement of quality of hockey:

He is a very good hockey player (team player) and example for young pupils. He is one of the best young umpires of Austria. His parents are supporting all activities of their son.
