FIH Coach Education Guidelines - DVD
Intro:
We recognize that the availability of accredited coaches is a crucial factor for qualitative and quantitative hockey development in a country, but that a considerable number of NAs have difficulty in setting up an appropriate coach education system. The FIH wants to assist its members in that by presenting the 'Coach Education – FIH Guidelines for National Associations'.
The Guidelines have been designed such that they offer a number of options and flexibility in application, in order to serve and fit all NAs, whatever their actual stage of hockey development and circumstances are.
Content:
The Coach Education guidelines include
- Examples of the accreditation levels, including:
- skills required to be a successful coach at each level
- examples of syllabi, courses, assessment criteria, procedures and the re-accreditation (or licensing)
- Organization and administration required to run the accreditation scheme and the courses that support it
- Insight into how to develop successful coach educators (or conductors) and assessors
- Examples of paperwork and procedures for all aspects of a successful coach education programme
