Establishment of the Serbian Youth Panel
The SHF Youth Panel (YP) was founded during the Development Forum in Belgrade, on Saturday 27 November 2008. The meeting was held in attendance of the chairman of the Youth Panel Mr. Dus Zoltan, SHF Development Officer and secretary Branka Padezanin, SHF Youth Officer and 10 members from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Panchevo and Subotica.
The members of the newly founded YP distributed their responsibilities (see list below) and decided that the first meeting of the panel was to be held together with the BHF Youth Panel and the Macedonian Hockey Federation (MHF) in the city of Nis during the first three months of 2008. Host will be the SHF and Sport Faculty of Nis Pedagogical University. The city of Nis was chosen because the city is in the middle of the triangle Belgrade-Scopije-Sofia.
The main target of the YP is populating hockey in the city of Nis (second biggest city in Serbia) and setting circumstances for creating new clubs in South-East Serbia in Shumadia region and inserting hockey in the university program of Nis University for teachers. The meeting will be communicated as the Balkan Youth Development Forum and the YP of Romania, Turkey and Greece will also be invited.
At the end of the initial meeting part of the participants of the SHF YP played friendly match on the new build SMUGA (small multy use game area) in the Pionerski grad (section of Belgrade).
