Dilawar Hussain is an experienced left-sided player who has become a dominant part of the Pakistan midfield since his international debut in 2001.

He won three successive bronze medals at Champions Trophy tournaments in 2002, 2003 and 2004 and won a bronze Commonwealth Games medal in Manchester (2002) and silver in Melbourne (2006).

Born in Shakagarh in the Punjab and a member of the Pakistan Army side, Hussain is a short corner specialist who plays for Sher-e-Jalandhar in India's Premier Hockey League.
