Blessed with enormous talent and the confidence of youth, Sergi Enrique burst onto the international hockey scene as a 17-year-old with Spain's winning side at the 2004 Champions Trophy in Lahore.

Displaying calmness, poise and maturity well beyond his years, Enrique's efforts were at the heart of Spain's outstanding success. He helped Spain to its 2005 European Championships triumph and third place finishes in the 2006 Champions trophy and 2006 World Cup competitions.

He plays for the ONO Atlétic de Terrassa club in Spain and was a nominee for the 2007 FIH 'Young Player of the Year' award won by Australian Mark Knowles.
