Mortiz FÜRSTE

A sparkling new talent in world hockey, German forward Moritz Fürste has quickly established himself as a force in the international arena since first seen in a major tournament at the 2005 Champions Trophy in Chennai, India.

A player with an uncanny knack for scoring decisive goals, he was a nominee for the FIH 2007 'Young Player of the Year' and helped Germany to victory in the 2007 Champions Trophy in Kuala Lumpur. He was also part of the gold medal winning German teams at the 2006 World Cup in Mönchengladbach and the 2007 Indoor World Cup in Vienna.

Nicknamed 'Mox', he plays club hockey for UHC Hamburg with younger brother Jonas Fürste, who has played for Germany at youth level.
