Tina Bachmann is an experienced defender who has collected some serious silverware with the German women's team. As a youngster she won European Junior Championships titles in 1996 and 1998, before also making her senior international debut against Japan in 1998.

Bachmann was part of the gold medal winning German team at the 2004 Athens Olympics and has since collected a Champions Trophy gold medal in 2006 and a European Championship gold medal in 2007.

Known to teammates as 'Keule' or 'Turnerchen', she was born in Mainz and has studied education at university. She lists her favourite hobby as collecting Panini stickers and live by the motto 'impossible is nothing'. She plays club for BTSV Eintracht Braunschweig.
