Peta GALLAGHER

Country:          Australia
Date of Birth:  6 December 1977
Gender:            Female
Height:             160 cm
Position:          Forward

Striker Peta Gallagher has strength and speed to burn and is a consistent goalscorer at international level for Australia.

She debuted in 2001 on the Australian tour of Argentina and says her most memorable sporting moment came when Australia defeated China in the final of the 2003 Champions Trophy in front of a home town crowd in Sydney.

Gallagher works as a development officer in Canberra for the Australian Capital Territory where she lives, and plays for the Canberra Strikers in the Australian League.

She has studied science and enjoys gardening, shopping, eating out and going to the beach when she has any spare time. Gallagher names her toughest individual rival as Minke Booij, the Dutch team as the toughest to beat and Lance Armstrong, Pat Rafter and Andre Agassi as the sportspeople she most admires.
