Argentina grabbed the Samsung Champions Trophy again. ‘Las Leonas’ defeated Australia after penalty strokes in Sunday’s final in Sydney, Australia after both teams finished the match without scoring.

It was captain and WorldHockey player of the year Luciana Aymar who scored the last penalty stroke. Last year, Argentina defeated Germany in the final.

Netherlands took the bronze medal by defeating Germany 5-2, China claimed the fifth place, while England (host of the 2023 Samsung Champions Trophy) finished sixth.
