09 Aug 2007 16:44

China defeated Malaysia 2:1 in the second round of the men's group preliminaries of the Good Luck Beijing International Tournament here in Beijing on Thursday. Fourteen minutes into the second half, the host team lost a point but soon equalized the score at 1:1. With only one minute to the end of the match the Chinese players fought well and managed to turn the tide with a 2:0 win.

In other second-round men's group preliminaries action, Pakistan fought hard to draw 2:2 with Australia. Throughout the first half the Australians gained the upper hand, only to be counterattacked by their Pakistani opponents who twice managed to equalize the score in the second half.
