Olympic Games last event for Dutch coaches 17 Jan 2008 15:34
The Dutch National Hockey Association (KNHB) made an agreement with national team coaches Marc Lammers (women) and Roelant Oltmans (men) that they will retire after the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Lammers started as women’s coach of Netherlands in 2001. He informed the KNHB that the Olympic Games in 2008 will be his last event as coach of the World Champion. He also informed the KNHB that he is not available to be nominated as men’s national team coach of Netherlands after the Beijing Games.
Lammers became World Champion with the Dutch team in 2006. Under his leadership, Netherlands won the Champions Trophy three times and became twice European Champion.
Oltmans informed the KNHB that he needs another challenge after being KNHB coach for 12 years. In these years he both coaches the men’s and women’s national team.
