Top Women's Teams Meet in Hong Kong for Asia Cup 10 May 2007 09:07
The Hong Kong Hockey Association (HKHA) is proud to announce that it has been appointed by the Asian Hockey Federation to host the 6th Asia Cup for Women during the first week of September 2007. Entries closed early May with 10 countries having confirmed their participation, making this the biggest ever Asia Cup.
The ten countries are China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand. ‘China, Japan and South Korea are all ranked in the top 10 of the FIH World Team Rankings. Hong Kong spectators and overseas visitors can expect there to be some top class hockey on display,’ says Brenda Smith, Vice President of the HKHA. ‘This is a wonderful opportunity for Hong Kong Hockey.’
