The women’s teams of Belarus, France and Scotland booked victories on the opening day of the EuroHockey Nations Trophy in Siauliai, Lithuania.

In Pool A of the event in which the three medalist qualify for the WorldHockey Olympic Qualifiers, France defeated Austria 5-1. Belarus booked a 4-1 victory over Belgium. In Pool B, Scotland defeated Czech Republic 4-2.
