Following on the huge success of Euro Hockey League (men), the EHF Executive Board, at its recent meeting discussed the possibilities for an imaginative and exciting new competition for women’s club hockey in Europe.
To progress these ideas and explore all the possibilities, the Board has set-up a small working group under the Chair of Marijke Fleuren, EHF Executive Board Member and including Sue Bodycomb (ENG), Wiert Doyer (NED), Martyn Gallivan (WAL) plus one other member to be confirmed shortly.
The group will meet in Hamburg during the EHL KO16 and report back to the EHF Executive Board in June.
The results from the Women’s 2022 EuroHockey Cup Winners Cup, Trophy and Challenge and 2022 EuroHockey Club Champions Cup, Trophy and Challenge, may be used towards a points system to determine ranking and qualification for any new EuroHockey Tournament for Women in 2023.
All details will be announced as soon as possible after the Executive Board meeting in June 2022.
