South Pacific Hockey Games underway
30 Aug 2007 07:44

The hockey competition for the 2007 South Pacific Games started on Monday at the Tuanaimato Hockey Field, Samoa. There is no men's competition, but 4 women's teams compete for the 13th SPG Gold Medal.

Overseas teams from Papua New Guinea, Fiji and Tonga arrived in Samoa to cross sticks with the all-local Samoan line up which includes several veteran players with their eyes on improving their 2003, bronze medal standing.

All important notices and information for competing teams and managers will be posted on a dedicated website providing up-to-date information on the development of the Hockey Competition for the 13th South Pacific Games-SAMOA "Live the Dream".
